Lululemon
Lululemon is one of my favorite brands, or should I say 50% percent of what my personal wardrobe is made of. So when I got an inquiry to work a job for Lululemon I was pumped! Now this wasn’t exactly the type of styling job I am used to. I have the privilege of fitting all the top executives for the outfits they would wear on stage for a conference. Sizing was limited and there were many alterations I had to pin. Photograper: Scott Ramsay
On this job, I also pulled clothing for Chris Gardner who was a guest speaker. Have you ever seen or heard of the movie “The Pursuit of Happyness” starring Will Smith? That movie is based on Chris’s autobiography. With only his height and weight I pulled multiple sizes of clothing for his on-stage look. Chris was a character and wasn’t that interested in wearing clothing that wasn’t made for him. He tried on two blazers to humor me and asked if he could take the clothing with him to his room to try on later. My answer was yes of course, and I had him multiple sizes, and multiple items to choose from. The next day I happened to catch him in the elevator and he was wearing one of the t-shirts I had pulled for him. He did wear a Lululemon blazer and t-shirt while speaking at the event and said the clothing was comfortable. After working with Lululemon, and meeting the C-suite team, I like the brand and what the company stands for even more.
